Greenup County Tourism Calendar of Event Guidelines

Our Calendar of Events aims to encourage travel to Greenup County. Local organizations are invited to submit their events for consideration.

At Greenup County Tourism, we appreciate your interest in sharing your upcoming activities on our Calendar of Events. It's essential to keep the calendar current, as many visitors plan their trips around local events. Please note, this calendar focuses on public events, with an emphasis on unique and special offerings.

To keep the calendar vibrant and relevant, please follow these guidelines:

• One-time or annual events and live concerts are encouraged and will be approved based on the event details submitted.

• Classes and tours will be considered depending on the information provided.

• Before submitting, please use the search feature to check if your event is already listed. Updates to event details or photos are always welcome and encouraged.

 

Examples of approved events:

• Theatrical performances and drama productions

• Creative art exhibits and showcases

• Music events

• Festivals and fairs – including art, food and beverage, etc.

• Workshops

Examples of events that will not be approved:

• Political events – such as rallies, meetings, campaign events, etc.

• Local resident events – such as neighborhood meetings or council meetings

• Events outside our Appalachian region

• Local school performances/events and church services

 

All event submissions are the discretion of the Tourism Director and/or the acting board.
